YOU'LL NEED THE FOLLOWING PARTS:
SECTION 23: COWLING INSTALLATION
YOU'LL NEED THE FOLLOWING SUPPLIES:
❑ Dremel Tool w/Sanding Drum & Cutting Disc
❑ 220 Grit Sandpaper w/Sanding Block
❑ Masking Tape
❑ Paper Towels
❑ Rubbing Alcohol
❑ Epoxy Mixing Sticks
❑ Epoxy Mixing Cups
❑ (1) Molded Fiberglass Cowling
❑ (4) Hardwood Cowl Mounting Blocks (D25)
❑ (4) 3mm x 12mm Wood Screws
❑ (4) 3mm Flat Washers
Step 1: Installing the Cowl Mounting Blocks
❑ Align and glue the cowl mounting blocks to the firewall
using a generous amount of 5 minute epoxy. Hold the blocks
in place using masking tape until the epoxy fully cures.

The blocks are glued to the 12 o'clock, 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock
and 9 o'clock positions on the firewall.
Step 2: Aligning the Cowling
❑ Remove the needle valve and muffler assembly from your engine and set them aside for now.
❑ Using a Dremel tool with a sanding drum, carefully
remove the molded flange from the inner radius of the
cowling.

Work slowly, removing a small amount of material at a
time, so you don't damage the cowling.
